Arowana

                                       AROWANA
         


      

          Arowana  (Scleropages formosus), or Red Siluk is one of the freshwater fish species from Southeast Asia. This fish has a long body; anal fin is located far behind the body. Asian Arowana generally has a silvery color. Asian Arowana is also called "Dragon Fish" because it is often associated with dragons from Chinese Mythology.
         Arowana  is listed in the list of endangered species that are "endangered". The number of these species has declined due to their frequent trade due to their high value as aquarium fish.Arowana is a freshwater boned fish from the Osteoglossidae family, also known as bonytongues.  Arowana is actually included as an ancient fish species which until now has not been extinct.

   The appeal of the Arowana fish, dubbed "The King of Ornamental Fish", won the hearts of ornamental fish lovers.

 In addition to channeling a hobby, Arowana fish with the scientific name Osteoglossidae is also believed to bring "good luck" to those who maintain it.

 For example, the type of Golden Red Arowana is believed to reject reinforcements and the type of Golden Pino as a bearer of sustenance.

 Apart from all that, the Arowana fish managed to maintain its existence because of the growing interest in the day to day.

                      Muzzammil Hasbalah                                                     Muzammil Hasballah is a Architecture Engineering Student of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) class of 2011.
